the nut that holds 5th gear on in the 5speed manuals will back off eventually, i had it happen twice to me, one time it needed a whole new shaft and the other time we were able to salvage it

i was just about to say tack weld the nut on the shaft thats how me and a buddy fixed his been good for 100,000 sence it came off
