Default Well it finally happened to me.

It's been a good run and I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet but on my way up to school about 60 miles out I lost 5th gear. The main thing that has me upset about the whole ordeal was I put the updated nut on 5th 5k miles ago.

The nut I put on had retaining screws with brass pieces. When it let go it just was gone no bang no weird noises just gone. I had to drive the truck another 60 ish miles to get to my apartment, so I just hope nothing bad happened while i drove it the rest of the way.

The stock nut came off mine at 150k ish. Drove 100 miles pulling my horse trailer in 4th gear at 55 mph. All the pokes we passed the 150 miles before that caught up to us

New improved nut went on and no troubles in the last 15k.
