Looks like this:

DieselManor - Dodge Generation 3 Cooler Line

Your 97 may or may not have it because for some stupid reason they quit putting this line in - I thought in model year 1996.

No worries though, if you dont have that line from the factory, you can still put it in with this:

Cooler Line Manifolds at DieselManor


And if hat doesnt tickle your fancy, you can use this in the pan - you install this in the side of the pan and screw your temp sender right into it:

i did think of that as we just got done replacing the lines on our 98. the ones listed for the 98 were wrong; the ones for the 97 had the port you guys are talking about on the scematic; but not on the physical line itself. so 96 is probably the safer bet that they stopped using this design

My 96 did not have the tap for a temp. sensor either...
