clutch urgent.
i just threw out my clutch and i need a new one asap.
what do you guys think?
i know that valair and southbend are good.
i just wanna stay in a reasonable price range.
i do mostly daily driving. sometimes i haul a trailer and pull the sled maby once a year.
so i think i can get by with a single disk. any ideaS?

A big single will be the most cost efficent, however, you may not like what happens when pulling with one. They seem to not handle the torque load and the sled weight very well and could tear the centers out of them.
It depends on what your looking for and your wallet.Peter at SBC has many options to fit even the most budget minded owner and their customer service is second to no one.I have a Haisley Street/Drag Double in mine as when my old EEP double broke the pressure plate it was all I could get installed and not loose my truck for any length of time.Clutch broke on Sunday while driving it,called one of my local shops Monday in the AM and drove out before lunch with the Haisley unit.So far I have been more than impressed and its done all I want it to do.
As for Valair.....
I will reamin quiet on them as I have spoken my thoughts on them after seeing the remains of a few of their units which failed. Those owners are members here and on other boards and if they choose to speak on them they will. The last time I mentioned anything about them I was piled upon by their supporters like a quarterback scrambling for his life. However,I will ask you this....How many top running diesel drag, dyno or pullers do you know or read about that advertise they use Valair...Nuff Said....Andy
