Default holstet vgt

A guy at my work has a vgt layin in his garage off his 08 ram hell give it to me if I want it my question is. Is the vgt better then my 35/40 hybrid or is it not worth the time of puttin it on

It'd be about as much air, if a bit less, but super-driveable, with an exhaust brake, depending on if you can get any of it to work.

How are you going to control the sliding exhaust ring? Pull cable?

Stock, it uses a 60-step stepper motor. To my knowledge, nobody's even prototyped a stand-alone controller for one.

Im no expert but isnt a Variable Geometry turbo controlled by a computer?? Not saying it cant be done, but this isnt a project for your average weekend wrencher. JMO.

How much time and effort do you think youd have to put into that Dave?

What is youre time worth?


Dont you think it would be better to get the turbo that would match your the setup of your truck better or fab up a bargain set of twins?
