wat the turbo you have now compared to stock

Begle1 07-07-2009 06:09 PM

It'd be about as much air, if a bit less, but super-driveable, with an exhaust brake, depending on if you can get any of it to work.

davo79 07-07-2009 06:19 PM

What do you mean get any of it to work

How are you going to control the sliding exhaust ring? Pull cable?

Stock, it uses a 60-step stepper motor. To my knowledge, nobody's even prototyped a stand-alone controller for one.

Would a pull cable work I have no clue

Im no expert but isnt a Variable Geometry turbo controlled by a computer?? Not saying it cant be done, but this isnt a project for your average weekend wrencher. JMO.

How much time and effort do you think youd have to put into that Dave?

What is youre time worth?

Dont you think it would be better to get the turbo that would match your the setup of your truck better or fab up a bargain set of twins?
