I stated that tires can cause it but not because they are bald. a belt could have shifted or got out of round, but it didnt happen because it was bald.

keep this in mind when your load range D or lower tires get worn and old.

Just wrong info there. DW does NOT come from box mounting. The Brace simply makes for less flex at low speeds, parking, and helps prevent frame deflection and improves box performance. Brakes influence pull, bald tires .... not so much. If your suspension and steering componentry are all in check tires mean nothing.

I have had a DSS (origional steering brace that is copied across the industry) scince it came out in 2002-2003`ish and along with a **DT profab track bar with dual heim joints (no bushings) and have had awesome steering for some 80K now.

**With ANY lift you need to bring the front axle back to the center of the truck! The DT track bar is adjustable and With a 1.5" leveling kit in my front end the front axle had shifted 3/4" to the driver's side. If I did not recenter the axle there is no way the truck would be aligned true.**

Now my death wobble is back with an angry vengance. A: my drag link is beat and B:Steering box is sloppy. C: I have the steering coloumn bushing kit to do and a new intermediate steering shaft too and both are sitting in my garage now.

Severly out of round tires can cause death wobble or the same reaction as death wobble, I have experienced it and seen it on trucks with brand new steerign systems. these were brand new tires that at highway speeds got scary. swapped the front tire(s) to the back and all was fine. then verified the tire was out of round

actually Mikes fab created that brace a year or two before DSS came out with theirs the same idea though except Mikes was round tubing instead of square
