Also I've got pictures of what Lucas Oil Stabalizer will do, Also have oil analyisis we can do on that. There is testing to prove it? Maybe by lucas oil. trust me friend we see the results of these products on a daily basis. I'm not sayin rotella is the worst oil ,I'm saying theres better products out there!.An oil stabalizer is an oil additive. It has detergents and lubricants some are in your off the shelf oil. Some are not. The approvals and oil ratings dont show the complete picture. Heath being the Oil guy i'm sure will add in some of the technical information!

PS most of your oils come from the same place, Same design. In most cases the same engineers design the formula. With exceptions on things like Amsoil and so on. My concern with rotella is the additive packacke and the quick depletion of the additives in rotella!
Most any vendor on here can ship you your fleetgrd filters. There lightyears ahead of the K&N oil filter qualities! Nothing wrong with running a K&N if thats all youve got. I cant remember if it was fram or wix that came apart under high oil temps!

Alright, cool. , i heard the oil price was going up soon, LIKE everything else, i would like to get some stock b4 it does. My truck is only running 1200 for short burst and usually runs 600-800*. I just like to read and see the proof. I was not saying your wrong, just trying to pick your brain. I am defenetly not a very smart person @ all, just trying to learn. i also don't want to waste my money. If i can get a pack of filters shipped to nh for a good deal. i would be happy to get the fleetguard. And, you should post some of those tests, and pictures. i think everyone would agree them to be very interusting!!!! thanks for the insite. Keep up the wrenching man.....Wow over 70 years. im only 21, the only thing that i really no for sure is that i like cummins, food, and hot chicks!

I'm only 24 but Have the great honor with being able to have some very seasoned tech's working for us, and know some very seasoned techs. I started the same way as you, doing my research anywhere I could find information. The internet is a great resource. There's already quite a bit of oil information posted up , I do have some pictures of a 4L jeep and a few 5.9L's that I can post. The oil killer is high egt's IMO.
All the trucks I've felt a need to have an analysis done were under higher egt's. My truck for instance. I was running rotella for about 2 years. After 3 anaylysis I started seeing a pattern that the oil was breaking down way too quickly. I called Olee Poole, Jetpilot, a few other guys and switched oils. No other oil broke down the way the rotella did. I'll see if I can find those little yellow sheets they send you back and scan them. I'm not sure If we'll be able to read all of them!
