Default Electrical Problems on 98 12V

When it rains my guages will stop working and go back on and off again at random. The O.D. lockout (automatic tranny) will go off too. I've looked under the truck for a short or loose connection and have not found the culprit. I would suspect a bad ground in the dash panel, but why does it just go nuts in wet weather? Any ideas?
