Default boost question

i put my gauges in today and my #100 plate and let me tell you WOW what a difference its like a brand new truck hahha i gotta get new tires now, but anyway heres my question. the boost gauge reads 0 when im driving normal and it only gos up when i mash on it and it hits about 28psi then when i let off it goes back to 0 should it be reading something when im just driving, or maybe i have a leak somewhere????

You might have the wrong kind of boost gauge. Who makes it?

well if you let completely out of it right after you mash on it, its gonna go to zero...but depending on the conditions you should be running about 5-8 psi when just cruising at like 70 mph

I have a 100 plate and i can boost up 2 40 psi, and i am running @ about 10 psi on the highway. you will always go down to zeropsi when you are out of the skinny pedal. but as soon as you hit it it should read @least 5-10psi of boost

I built one of these and it works great. if you don't have the stuff around the house its less than 15 bucks to build one. if you still have a low boost issue, your waste gate might be out of adjustment. When you adjust it make sure you dont let it go over 40psi. thats no good on stock turbos and head gaskets your just pushing hot air over 30psi and running risk of poping your head gasket
