Default No power and lots of white/gray smoke

I had the problem with the fuel delivery about a month ago. I took it into a shop and they told me that it was the p-pump.
I purchased a rebuilt pump from one of diesel bombers vendors and installed it.
I test drove it for several days to make sure that I installed it right.

After I was sure that I did it right I started to bomb it.
Ground fuel plate to #0 and slid full forward
slid the AFC full forward

I drove it for about 10 miles and put it trough its paces and it ran fine. But then all of a sudden it lost all power and seems to miss above 1000 RPM. It idles rough and has alot of white/gray smoke.

The oil and coolant are clean.

The truck is a 94 CTD, auto trans.

Would the lift pump cause the exhaust to burn white?

what were your exhaust temps during your
"running it thought it's paces"?

did you make sure the governor arm wasn't going under the fuel plate?

Ok, There isn't alot of blow by from the blow by tube.

I don't know how to check the governer arm. I did change the fuel plate to the stock one.
