[QUOTE=MotorOilMcCall;255569]Well it depends on what you want to spend. Personally, I'd just build a hybrid. You'll need to find an HX40 thats in decent shape, the wheel and compressor housing really is all you need. All you have to do is swap the wheel and the compressor housing, but you'll want to get it balanced too (at least I would, the things spinning over 100k RPM's).

I was looking at a HX40 also, but as we know the shafts break if you bark them to many times...Where would be the best place to order a new shaft/wheel and housing..??

Thats a load of BS... I know plenty of guys running HX40's, and of them all, 1 has busted a shaft, and it was actually just a bend. All these guys sayin they bust shafts are overthinking things. Yeah, its the same shaft as the smaller 35, but how many 35's have you seen busted? Thats how strong they are.

I think the Turbo manufacturers just spread that rumor to sell turbo's, . Anything can break...

BTW, eBay has had some guys selling "Super B" turbo's for cheap... Be careful, most of these use the smaller center sections with the smaller shaft, and poor oiling. They work, but they aren't nearly as strong as the real deal from BD. Just a heads up, I think most guys assume an S300 is an S300, but there are some big differences. If you question it, ask for the serial number, then shoot BD or HTT an email, they'll tell you what turbo it is.

I run a super B and have no problems. Cools things fairly well and has good power. It is nothing crazy. The turbo performs well pulling which is what I wanted.
