Sputtering at higher rpm?

Truck sputters really bad at about 2000 rpm ? Truck is completely stock exept for straight pipe and grinded fuel plate to a 0. Was thinking maybe injectors. Any feed back is much appreciated!

-fuel filter
-bad fuel overflow valve
-timing my have slipped
-sloppy injector

Mine was caused from the over flow valve. It sputtered like hell upper rpm. Installed a tork tek ofv.. Runs great now. Good luck with yours only about $40 fix

does this only happen under no load?
