For a little over a year now I have been trying to hunt down the ever elusive 98 12v ECM/PCM (whatever you fancy to call it) and everytime i find one......its sold. Were there really not that many built? Im building a 99 1500 Sport with a 96 Cummins and putting an nv4500 into it, besides the tranny, front end work and the ECM its almost together and I just want to be able to drive it!

 

wow, those are hard to find.

Another thing you could do is post in the vendor section and see if one of them knows someone that has one.
Wish i could help more.

 

It is that rare, 98 was the only year for that ECM.

 

ive been debating on just pulling the motor back out, scrapping the rest of the truck and finding an older GM to stuff it into....its crazy how many other people are doing this swap though because when they go up for sale they only last a day or 2 and they are gone!
