95 with lockup and I need help. My truck used to shift fine and lock up at 50. After I had a whole new throttle cable linkage put on it won't even shift into 4th until 61. I can flip my switch and it would put it into 4th then I would have to pump it all the way to 62 to get into OD. Today, it wouldn't go into OD until I drove redline for about 5 miles. Now it won't go in at all. I've adjusted the cable, and TPS full both ways and it didn't even make it shift sooner or later. I need help fast and don't have time to look through 500 forums. Any help would be appreciated

 

TPS is going on the fritz .. or you need to adjust the IP linkage ( not cable .. the threaded link ) ..

 

How do I adjust that?

 

I mean more along the lines of tighter vs looser

 

there is a specific way to adjust the linkage ... Check out Youtube ..

Ok here's an update. I put a new plug on the tps, I put a new control sensor on the tranny. And yet it will still not go into 4th at all. Unless I flip my switch and it sends it into 4th. Any help?

 

TCM gounding or O/D gounding issue ...
