What does it take to get to the 3rd gear synchro to replace it? If someone has done this before and could walk me thru it I would appreciate it. I currently have a manual coming, but I would like to start tearing this thing down, and don't want to butcher anything in the process so I can get parts ordered soon and see if there is anything else I need.

 

It requires disassembly of....well of pretty near to the entire gearbox. I spose a guy could leave 1/2 on there but....why?
