Very interesting, thanks for the info. What's a good temperature I should be at ? My probe is in the pan now, but to me it makes more sense to have it on the hot line ..... or does it matter?

looks like a part of the reaction plate or part of the back of a drum ... ...

could be a spacer between the drum and planetary ... i would stop driving it until you can pull your trans out and have it looked at or pull it apart ... there really easy to build as long as you dont try to do the O/D .. that has a massive 800# spring and it will harm you unless you have it cages correctly ...

I have built a few 727's ... these transmissions are real similar ... take it apart one piece ata atime and stack it in order ... really simple .. just be comfident and have a book handy just in case you dont recognize the parts or dont know how to dis-assemble parts ... like bands and such

Not doubting my mechanical abilities, but I'm very hesitant on tearing an auto trans apart. It was built by a performance shop less than two years ago , Maybee they will cover it ?

it looks like the shim in the reaction shell. that would make some crazy cleaance issues. you probably destroyed a few things as that worked its way down the trans. they arnt awful to build, just be maaticulus with organization as it comes apart.

Yeah if you take your time and pull one thing at a time ... you most likely will find the issue and be able to fix it cheaper that way ...
