I don't really understand what your saying, but it sounds like your CAD isn't engaging...

i already know that the shift fork on the pasenger side is engaging i pulled it off and everything works. ok on thhe driver side of the axle the shaft is a solid one piece so unless its off the ground it wont turn, now it turns even on the ground because the shaft is broke

I can't recall ever seeing stripped splines on a D60 shaft, usually when they break they break at the shaft. Are you sure your spider gears aren't broken? Anything is possible, I would just be really shocked if you some how stripped the splines on that shaft. One sure way to find out is to pull it!

I think I figured out your broken english.

do you mean that when the truck is on the ground the ring and pinion will spin if turning the drive shaft? If so I'm not sure if that is an acurate test unless you have a LSD in the front instead of an open diff. Because without the CAD engaged the diff will spin.

I seriously doubt you broke the shaft (anything is possible but not likely).

How did you check your CAD. vacuum leaks can cause the fork not to move or be able to push the sleeve over

well i know the splines arent stripped because i can see them and i know the shift for is engaging becasue when the 4x4 light comes on it means its engage. when the fork slides to the driver side "engaged" it pushes on a switch that activates the light.
