Here is the deal i have a 1997 12v. Pump has been turned up a little. Everything was rinning perfect until i just put head studs in the motor. I did not remove the head to do them just one stud at a time, besides the 6 for the rocker pedistals. I removed the rocker pedistals and had them milled as the instructions said to. I put it all together and now it sounds like there is a valve not closing or something. I can hear a blowing sound through the exhaust sounds like a exhaust leak on a gas rig and is constantly blowing a light cloud of white smoke. I bleed the injectors and adjusted the valves but no change. Is it a possable head gasget problem?

 

Could have torn the gasket as the head flexed. I would also shoot out to double check the valve adjustment. Run it with the gf's off and see if something looks outta place. Loosen injection lines one at a time to see if you can figure out which cylinder its coming from.

 

did you get rocker arm holders in the dowel pin holders correct? if not you get a pile of soft meatal between which mes up torqe

 

I will run it tomorrow hopefully if i get time with the valve covers off to see whets goin on. It has to be something simple like a push rod or something.
