I recently bought a 2007 duramax lbz and am preparing to install an edge products programer. I want to get the biggest bang for my buck but do not want to tear anything up in the process. I would like to know what the maximum egt and other parameters are for a stock lbz. I don't mind pushing it to the limits, but I don't want to flirt with disaster either.

 

I wouldn't let it go past and hang at 1300 max.

 

Duramax's have gone well into the 2000* before.. I personally wont take my LBZ past 1500 for more than a 1/4 mile.. But even my big tune wont go over that.

 

1350* is the max sustained temp the dmax can handle.

dont want to go over that really for too long.




lets see, ive gone way past 1600 before, it got nice a toasty in the cab too

 

yes 1250 is max that i would hang out at when towing/driving
but i have seen 1800 in my drag truck (cummins tho)
