The Quadzilla on the 2nd gens have a built in turbo timer for egt's , I would check to see if the quadzilla for the 3rd gens offer the same feature

He's got a chevy, and I don't know if Quad offers those features on the Chevy's; although I don't see why he wouldn't. Sorry I can't be of any help.

If you have the coin, you can always spring for one of the spendy BD units:
BD-Power Cool Down Timer (Engine Shutdown System)

When I was in the GM Duramax class, the instuctor said and it's printed in the GM handbook, that you do not need to let the turbo cool due to it's water and oil cooling systems that keep it cool at all times.

With that said, after a long pull I still let my egt's hit 400 or under before shutting down, which usually takes only a minute or less.

The Edge Juice and Attitude for your truck includes a Turbo-Timer function along with a whole lot more bells and whistles

Another option would be the BD Turbo Timer by itself:
BD Power - Product: Cool Down Timer
We don't have this on our site but we can assist you with this as well if needed.
