i have a 08 6.4, i had a AFE TURBO BACK 4" EXHAUST, wich eliminated the dpf, when this was done, the muffler shop called and said my truck was blowing gray smoke out the tailpipe, when i got there we found out that they had not shut off the DPF regen in the programmer, after doing so, the gray smoke stopped, but now everytime i start te truck it blows gray smoke until it gets warmed up, and then it stops. the muffler shop said its because of the excess diesel used in the regen process and it will stop once the exhaust burns it all out, can this be true, any ideas??? can it be something else?
