scheduled maintenance
ok so i was pullin a load on to houston last week, and the overhead rings and says "perform maintenance". i call a local 5 star dealer and they tell me that since i just rolled over 67500 miles on my truck it is time to have the egr, dpf, cleaned and replace the ccv filter. they also inform me that it will cost 975 dollars to have this done because it is not covered under warranty. can anyone tell me if this is something that is necessary or is this another way for dodge to F$%k the people that used to believe and enjoy driving the products they sell!

I did it myself. Do some google searching about our truck and cleaning the EGR some other sites which i wont advertise here have very detailed pictured instructions aswell as copy/paste from the service manual on how to do it. I did it myself. The filter they will charge you 200 bucks for CCV, you can buy from a local cummins shop for 56 bucks. They tried to F*** me and I wasnt havin it. Buy some cleaner, buy the fleetguard filter, do it yourself and save 800 bucks.
