Default Transmission question

The truk I recently bought runs good and the trams seems to shift fine. A guy on here said I should flush the trams and adjust the bands if needed. My question is with 124000 moles and not knowing if the trans has ever been flushed would that be a problem? I've heard some folks say that as soon as they did it in their vehicle the trans went out. It is an 06 3500 4x4. Thanks in advance.

If it's done it's done! The flush will just show it faster! Drop some money on a valve body and TQ to extend the life there are a few other mods that will help also but those are the have to ones!

Do a pan drop first, and adjust the bands then. If there is not much clutch material in the pan you are fine to flush it in the future.

A Shift Kit and Torque Converter will make a big different in the performance of your transmission.

Just flushed, replaced filter, adjusted bands and ungraded to the Borge Warner solenoid with 125k on my 05 and no change in performance but shop said pressures were low and the bands were way out of adjustment. I would defiantly have the bands adjusted it needs to be done much more frequently that we think. I would guess yours is close to its end but you will find out by how much band adjustment is left. I was going to upgrade the TQ converter and VB untill I found this out about mine. Now I will wait till it goes and then decide from there where to have it built.
