Default Need a VP44

Hey guys, if you've been checkin new threads you'll see that I just found out my VP died... So if anybody has a used HO or SO pump, let me know ASAP. The truck is sitting in the shop for now, but after a few days they will pull it out and leave it in the lot if they don't hear from me.

Willing to pay what a typical used pump goes for, obviously the newer the better, and the more I'll be willing to pay for it.

Sorry to just jump in here, but I didn't think you can just throw on a SO or HO pump. Reason being here say your truck comes stock with HO pump, throw on a SO pump and your ECM is gonna not relate to the readings it gets from the SO pump like what it was programmed to do with the HO. I might be wrong someone else please jump in if Im wrong.

I've been reading a lot of pump threads, looks like you can interchange the two.

You can put a SO pump on a HO engine but you can't put a HO pump on a SO engine.

Well I've personally put a HO pump on a SO engine. At the time it was all we had available... It ran down the road fine. Just idled like crap... After all the reading I've done on it, it seems thats the way MOST of them run on a 99. I guess you can't do it on a 00-02, but I don't really worry about those since I don't run one.
