We can go about 650+ miles on a tank in our '05 Jetta Wagon...not as great as 54 mpg, but not too shabby either, huh?

.......an '82 VW diesel pu w/ 292k on clock lurks in a corner of my garage. Had the head off once(new gasket). That 54decimal something is what I got once during a slow trip north to Brookings, OR on 101............

..great little trucklet.

I'd buy a new one.
