Default This fuel mileage is awesome!!

I drive about 150/day and was beating up the CTD so I went and found me an 06 jetta with 101,000 on it. First tank i got 43mpg. Was happy with that. Changed over to my synthetic oil, new air filter, and my fuel additive and the next tank found 46mpg. This last tank I hit 50! It's a quest to see how high I can get. Need to change out that fuel filter yet.
I love only paying $35 a tank as opposed to $90 and not getting as far. Not the most comfortable thing in the world but I'll take it.

x2 it sure is nice to go 500 miles on a tank, then NOT have to run the debit card twice to fill it up again.
I was at around 50, then disabled EGR right after timing belt was done, now I'm under 40. Turned EGR back up, hopefully mileage pops back up or I'm gonna have to go figure out what the dealer did.

I bet you would get crazy about the VW Lupo's 3L.
the 3L stands for fuel consumption - not engine displacement.
With your speed limit you would get 70mpg with ease...

Question: Was the fifty miles per gallon done with all highway driving? My daughter is considering leasing a Volkswagen diesel primarily for the mileage aspect of it.
