I believe the Hy35 would be better then the HX since the HY has a 9cm housing on it. I agree though with just doing a larger single.

The VW 1.9TDI is out most popular engine to sell, and up there in price too.

From my experience, these are not the most reliable motor. I dont think they could take any more power. Just my 0.02

the 1.9L TDI is the same price as the 1.8L Turbo gasser. No real difference in power but huge difference in economy.

They are very reliable and last forever given that they are limited in the boost department. Things start to go south quickly at 22 pounds of boost stock. Add a real gasket and some other beefed up parts and it would handle 40 pounds I'm guessing.
