Does anyone have an idea when the new Jetta TDI is coming out? I haven't been able to find a date (or even a guess) yet...

Cool. Thanks. I'm trying to convince my bosses that this would be the perfect addition to our company, but they want more info.

 

8-10 months is what I heard about 5 weeks ago. The TDi will be featured in the Beetle, Rabbit & Jetta. There are rumors that the new Tourango will have the TDi option as well. There is also a rumor of the Toureg getting the Audi 5cyl TDi.
The Jetta wagons will be returning along with a 2 door coupe Passat and a new mini van that is a joint venture with Chrysler. I'll post more info as I get it.

Here is the latest! All the dealers are going to get one new TDi for demo purposes only! Not for sale! Somewhere in August the dealers will start getting the new diesels to sell to the public.

 

yah i was told we were gettin some TDi jettas in august.. in N.B canada

 

Will VW get diesels in 2008 - yes. Will they be TDI's not likely. The new motor is a common rail high pressure injection similar to Dodge and GMC.

I haven't seen any badges but expect them to be CDI or CRD...
