Default Bump Stops and Leaf Clamps

Hey guys im thinking about entering one of the local truck pulls this year and im looking for some pointers. What kind of bump stops are you running? Do you use leaf spring clamps? If so what size plate and bolts? Anyone have a lifted truck they pull with? I have a 4.5 inch lift and I need much longer bump stops but how much do I need? I think I will want the truck to come down a bit and plant itself but how far? Any help would be great thanks.

You need to look at the local fair rule book they usually have listed what you are allowed to use as far as suspension stops... Most that I have read require at least 1 inch of travel and be adjustable. being adjustable allows you to drive the truck there with out beating your guts out, pin them in place, then go home. As far as spring clamps I do not know.. like I said research where you want to pull. The NADM work stock rules seem to be pretty constient with most of the pulling tracks that I have watched or pulled at. Good luck to you..
