im thinking bout building me a hitch and i have a few questions. is the upright section of these hitches made from a solid piece of square stock or is it hollow sqaure tubing. also what dimensions do are the hole. 3.5 inches long by 2in wide or so? also what is the height requirment for most classes? thanks

mine is solid peice, I'll have to check how big I made the hook on mine can't remember the measurement at the moment, most 4wd class's allow a max of 26" hitch height 2wd class is allowed up to 30"

plan to start pulling my truck this summer, putting new trans and DD clutch in next week. got a bud who does fab. and hes gonna auto cad me a pulling receiver and possibly front weight bracket. What could i do as far as adding in some of the sled "bump stops" like you guys have on the backs of your trucks.

for most new hitch rules the hook point must now be 3.5" wide insted of 3". A bigger hook is being used on the sleds.

I'm not talking axle bump stops I'm talking the bumper things on the back of the truck so the sled doesn't crush your bed if you suddenly stop
