Default diesel tractor pulling?

does anyone have any experience with diesel tractor pulling?i am looking to get into this and wanna drive a large tractor with either a cat or cummins please help..

Wow you really let that one open. I would recommend figuring out what class you want to run first. Once that is figured out, make sure you have the money to buy and build the tractor without having to borrow any. As soon as they are fired up all the warranty is lost on them. My family at home runs International Harvester, a 1066 to be exact. They have a 466 block in them that is very similar to the Cummins. As a matter of fact the newer Case IH tractors run a Cummins in them, a 8.1 L though.

There are quite a few. Depending on how deep your pockets are kinds depends on what class you want to pull in. I did a search for your local pullers association and found that there site is currently not working properly. Here is a link to the Illinois Tractor Pulling Association and their classes.

Most places have similar classes just some rule changes.

45 grand should get you a decent limited light pro built.....nothing too insane.....be good for running around brush pulls......

i pull farm tractors right now but im trying to talk my dad and my uncle to build one. i heard that a guy around me bought a 9300lb Super Farm tractor for $80,000. but its a tractor that runs really good around at are local pulls.

They are 8.3L Cummins not 8.1L. But the tractors that run the 8.3l cummins are too heavy.

I wanna run a large diesel(cummins,cat)or a jet engine i think i had better start off small like lawn mowers and such,before getting super serious
