I Am Going To Hook Up
turn the tow/haul mode on to lock out overdrive and i THINK it makes the TC lock up sooner.
4-low only, dont even try 4 hi
Get the chain tight and when you have the green flag slowly roll into the throttle and bring the rpms up using 1/4 to 1/2 throttle. I wouldnt watch the boost gauge, I would listen to the engine when it sounds like the turbo is spooling and you know its not gonna bog down start easing off the brake. And I mean easing dont just step off you wanna come out easy and roll into full throttle, aim your mirror at the rear tires, when it has one full revolution hammer down and dont let off until you are sitting still spinning or the flag man shuts you down. Never turn the wheel back and forth...it doesnt help and is hard on u-joints.
I run a manual transmission with a turbo that spools no where near a stock turbo...and I never watch the gauges, I watch the tach until I know I am over 3800, once I get that high I start letting the clutch out slowy but surely and I watch my mirror, when i see the tire has made one full revolution I know I better have my foot off that clutch and its hammer time.

... DOnt go crazy
thats why i prefer to go by rpms and sound of the motor vs shooting for a set boost number. you start concentratinc way too hard on getting that boost that you lose focus of everything else
...I have no Tach... and when I pull I can't here the truck for the fans cheering!!!

If I had a tach I would use that... I do like that method and the reasoning behind it. DOn't know what RPM' swould be good for him though...

Yes RS is right unless you got another truck and trailer to get thing out of there and wont need your truck while your putting new axles and u joints in it then go ahead and ride it out, but if you need your truck to get to work on monday dont buck it.

But what do I know I have never pulled before. Just be sure to send Pics after the event.
