Receiver hitches
it depends on what i just got done pullin.. but usally i will take out the ball mount, and swap in my tow pin mount.. its for the front end of a peterbilt, and sure is nice for pullin people out.. dont have to worry bout the chain/rope fallin off and if someone hits it there will probably will be more damage then from a ball mount
i leave mine in all the time. i have a big load equalizer hitch and if some one hit me it would take most of the impact. stock bumpers won't take any sort of hit... i bent mine a little when i backed up against a snow pile at school.
Do you guys with receiver hitches leave them in or take them out between tows? Personally, I take mine out as soon as I'm done towing, in case somebody rearends me, I don’t have to worry about a drop hitch getting jammed in there and killing my departure angle. Plus I don’t want the wrong hitch rusted in if I have to pull a different height trailer. Anybody agree or disagree?

I just like having the "added security" ,such as it is, when someone bumps the back of my truck, and they end up with a reminder to the front of their vehicle. Mom's a believer now. Padlocks are cheap insurance IMO.
