A Farmers CO-OP will have Cert scales, and most of them don't charge for weighing. Then just don't stop at the DOT scales since you're not commerical.

Out of curiosity how are u restricted to 105500 lbs with ur class a licence. I've have my class a and have been thru chicken coops at 250000 lbs in ca. Or. Wa. Ut. Az and several other states hauling oversize

They're actually at a 45 degree angle, but either way, the loads good...there's nothing on the front that I'm worried about, its all part of the kids playset, solid wood castle set.

There is something that allows you to haul more than 80,000 on doubles and triples. I have that but only found out about it from a friend who asked my brother and I if we did. According to what he told us it was not yet fully in effect at that point about 4 years ago. I changed where I worked part time and was asked for it. I went back to where I had been and they said I had it because I had been doing that work for them. Not exactly sure what you have to do if you don't have it or were apparently Grandfathered as I was. I did get a copy or letter or something saying I had this. Otherwise I have never heard of a weight restricted Class A.

I am not restricted to only 105500lbs that is what the truck that i drive off and on is licensed for i have had over weight and wide load permits before the truck that i drive is usually a dump truck with a transfer trailer or i drive a lowboy for a asphalt company. that is what i do part time i am a union ironworker by trade. I dont have any restrictions that i am aware of or i would have thought that DOT would have said something to my by now at the scales.

Car Scales are certified. Go weigh unloaded and then loaded. You'll be good to go.

Now that makes more sense. BTW, I've hauled crushed cars out of your area some for the last several years.
