yeah im thinking the same thing....i wonder if the comany sells just the drop in ball part of the hitch ? ? ? and im also wondering how many tanks of gas and oxygen its going to take to cut that part out.....or is it even possible to just cut out the ball.....
an other option i guess could be to take the hitch off the truck and take it to a machine shop and see if they could press it out or mill it out? ?? what ya guys think about that? ?

your right !!! i could put it up on 2 steel saw horses and get a full swing with a 8 pound sledg with a 3 foot handel !!!...if i do this i will prommis everyone here i will get it on video LOL

That company sells just the drop in ball. If you live in trailer country your local parts store can probably get you one.
Just go all out like me...
My ball is welded to a 1" thick steel plate that spans the wheelwells and is bolted through to a fully boxed frame.

yeah i got the pin pulled out ....now the ball part of the hitch won't come out for nothing....

With the handle on the wrong side, and the ball behind the axle, I can bet you i know what happened. Buddy put it in properly, in front of the axle and handle on the drivers side. Then he went to hook up, and the trailer is too close to his bumper. So instead of spending the money and putting the proper adapter on the trailer, he gives the hitch a 180. He most likely complained how poor the trailer pulls as well, not knowing it's due to the ball being behind the axle.

pull the lock pin go under the truck with a 4"x4" block of wood place it on top of a hy. jack and jack it up by the ball about 2"or3" off the ground and let it sit over the weekend. if that don't work pull the whole thing out and get a new one and put in right . with it being a shortbed you will want this. B&W 4085 Gooseneck Extender for the turnover ball hitch
