Question Found something in my bed ?!?!

Ok so the other day i took out my plastic bed liner and found a strange looking
circle in my bed....upon more investigation i find out its some kind of hitch

a buddy called it a hide-a-hitch....i'm guessing its for some kind of goose neck
trailer....i looked under the truck and saw what appears to be an upside down
trailer ball a rather large one to be exact

i noticed a pin with a spring going threw it ...so im guessing that you have to pull
the pin till the ball comes out and turn it over and reinstall so you have a gooseneck
trailer ball......i really have no idea the difference between a (fifth wheel and a gooseneck)
and i have no idea how to pull the pin out ( i think its rusted in place )

so i guess what im asking is this

what is it and how do you suggest i remove the pin thats holding the ball in place.

Thanks for the help...... if i need to i will try and get a picture of it

mine has a lever in the driver side fender well that you pull and push forward, pull ball out and flip over. then slide lever back

i can't find any numbers or letters on it but i do have some crappy cellphone pics of it...just none from under the bed.......i know it looks funky but i think the PO of the truck didn't have it in the right spot when they cut the holes the first time

mine has a handle on it also but mine is on the passenger side and i had to remove my
inner fender skirt to see it.......the only thing i have really done to it is pull on it

it doesn't look like i can twist it or anything so i just pulled on it

the first picture is an in the bed pic and the other is from over my rear passenger tire
if need be i can take one from under the truck tomorrow after work

thanks for the input guys.........and yes i have PB blasted it to see if i could break it loose !!!

you should be able to pull that handle out and there will be a notch or something that will hold it while you pull the ball up and flip it over then you just release the handle from its catch.

I dont know if it is , but it looks like the B&W turnover GN hitch....
It might not be the B&W but look at them and you will see more about how to use and operate the hitch better,,,

On another note, how long have you had the truck ?
It must be a newer truck to you since you never noticed it before ?

i will check out the B&M site to see if there are any instructions or tips on how to get it un stuck and proper maintenance

and yes the truck is new to me ...i have had it sense march 1st and didnt drive it the next 2 months
i had to put in (have put in for me) injector pump , lift pump , filter and
a local diesel shop hooked me up i got it all done for the price of what i would have payed for just the injector pump at Autozone

this one is defiantly not stock.....the person who put it in , put it in the wrong place as you can see by the hole they tried to fix and the other holes for what appears to be chain hooks...looks like they tried to move it back a little bit

I called and asked my buddy and he said it was an option on the truck when he bought it, so yea they did come with them but yes i do agree with you he did try to modify it, Dunno why, maybe he was just retarded. And my friends lever comes out the drivers side and there is a hole in the wheel well that is just for the lever, and his doesn't stick out, you have to reach in the hole to pop it out. So hey, take it to a Dealer, since it was an option they should be able to sort it out and figure out what he up.
