Default Trailer tires

I will be needing to put new tires on my 30ft GN trailer, and was wondering if there were any recomendations, and also do trailer tires need to be balanced or could I just get by with ordering them online and putting them on myself? The trailer is tandem axle, single wheel. I have only talked to one tire shop, and was quoted $150 each mounted, but they said that since they were trailer tires they wouldn't need ballanced, I have found tires online for as low as about $100 each. Any advice/recomendations would be appreciated, thanks.

They don't need to be balanced but they may wear better if balanced. You could install them yourself and use the bags of equal to balance them.

Ok, well I ended up finding a new set of tires and wheels on Craigslist last night, Got them for $400, tires are Goodyear Marathon tires.
