One thing you might want to consider if you buy another trailer is a removable tongue. More than likely someone who is looking to steal a trailer won't be driving around with their own tongue and VERY unlikely will it be the exact setup needed to take your trailer.

Or you could just shoot the next mf'er who tries to steal your trailer

Does the entire tongue remove or just the coupler?

You could do something like this.
Custom Removable Trailer Tongue

Or you could do one of these but rather than have a hinge, take that bolt out and put in another high quality pin. When you leave the trailer, take the tongue off and put padlocks through the holes so even if the thief has one of these he will have to put the extra work to get through the padlocks.
Overton's® > Swing-Away Bracket - Outlet > Trailering Outlet : Clearance Center, Discounted Boating Accessories, Watersports Products, Used Items

Now neither of these systems will guarantee that your trailer will never get stolen, but the more work a thief has to put into getting 1 trailer, the less he will want it and will get discouraged and move on.

And for you 5th wheel and gooseneck guys who are interested in a little more trailer security, I am willing to put big money that guys who go around stealing bed-pull (goose and 5th) trailers will be ready to accommodate for something like this. Lol.

One thing I think everyone has overlooked. Have you looked into going after Reese? They have a faulty product that allowed these to take your trailer.
