Arrow My $0.02 here.......

Nice looking wagon. Do yourself a favor and get the brakes on both axles soon. I know it doesn't come out on a lot of those smaller trailers from the factory but you will not be sorry you have them. You can never have too much braking force when you are pulling a load on the wagon. LEDs and other stuff is nice to have, brakes are a must to have. There will be plenty that say one axle brakes are enough. Don't believe them and try it for yourself.
Stay safe out there.
Ken

If your gonna add or replace any brakes make a huge improvement and go with a disk brake package. Way simpler to maintain, no adjustments ever needed and they figure each disk brake axle has the same stopping power as three drum brake axles.

Agreed!

By the way keep in mind with any "electric brakes" a breakaway kit should be a "priority"..commercial use or not, another one of those DOT laws that you don't want to be caught breaking.

Also what black truck said...aside from being safer, most state laws require that trailers 3,000 GVW and over must have brakes on both axles. I see you plan on doing it anyway. It varies by state though, i'm not sure about OR . Just some things to keep in mind..good luck with the trailer though, again looks good

Yeah, putting brakes on both axles will be the next major mod. I just need to save up the money first... I will do a breakaway kit eventually but I will wait until I rewire the trailer. I also want to install a winch on the trailer at the same time (I have the winch, just no clue as to the best way to wire it!). LED lighting will happen with the re-wire as well, just because I will be into it at that time. However, all of this requires money that I don't have! Heck, I really couldn't afford the trailer in the first place!

As of now, I am comfortable with the safety of the trailer but I agree that it could be (and will be) better.

Oh and as for OR DOT laws, I'm finding out just how much they don't care on private, non commercial trailer... It's kinda scary.

Loaded up the Cruiser for the first time yesterday. I still haven't pulled it anywhere yet but I'm getting closer! I pull out on Thursday with it, so hopefully I did everything correctly! LOL

yes get a breakaway kit on there
it could be a member of db that you save having that on it and I for one know it is not fun hitting one of them trailers at 60 mph

when i put a winch on my trailer i made a battery box, and ran the cables from the winch into the box done, and i ran the auxillary pwr on the trailer plug in to the+, kept the battery charged all of the time, ur going to need battery for the break away,

personally i dont think you need tandem brakes unless your pulling over 12k anyway
alto i had tandem axle breaks on the dump bed trailer and never used the truck brakes when stopping just pulled the manual engage and the trailer would stop the truck in like 100 feet
