Default Trailer Build Plans

I'm gonna build one a my home brew Uncle Bubba Orginals trailers and wonderin if anybody has ever seen one of these either in plans or built.

I'm gonna build a dual axle tow dolly with a removable 14ft tilt deck. Pull the deck off and have a tow dolly, drop the deck on, put the pins in and have a 14ft flat tilt bed trailer, Bumper pull.

That could be pretty cool,

I would imagine using the tilt setup for the dolly to tilt the flatbed part?

how to hold everything straight at the pivot point on the dolly would be the hard part.

As near as I can figure it so far there will actually be three attachment points on each side, all pinned. It will sit down on the tongue and pin there when the bed is down, and on the dolly it will pin at both the front and back of the wheels. The upright supports for the fenders will both be attachments points.

Things have a habit of changing once I start buildin though so who knows what the final outcome will be. My kid always calls my creations transformers. They start out simple but as I go I tend to "way" overbuild them so things change a little during the process.

I would be curious to see how you handle the hinge on the dolly part, or leave it unhinged, which would be hard on the vehicle in tow.

Ya lost me on what hinge there is on a dolly. Let me be the first to admit that other then sellin a few parts for them and rentin em from U-Haul a few times I have never built an auto dolly yet so what am I missin, what's hinged on them.

Just a wheel pocket, tie down apparatus and slide in ramps is about all I've ever found on tow dollies.

Never seen one, heard of one or seen any plans for one, Yet. Gotta dig through my left over axles and see if I have any that will work for this first and if not get a set ordered. Then it should start takin shape.

He said it worked OK but the dove tail messed up the pivot of teh dolly. It would need to be all flat.

Here is the link...

Guess somebody else had the idea to. Thanks. I don't want a dovetail myself, that's why I want the tilt bed. I want this thing to haul the kids little race car that sit's about 3 inches off the ground on the trailer and my truck if I ever need to on the dolly portion. I'm thinkin if I put pins in front and back of the wheels that gives me the option of the tilt angle also depending on which pins I pull for it to pivot on.
