My boat weighs just over 12k with 90% fuel. I threw away calipers from my brake system as they seized up every year from the saltwater. I haven't had any brakes for the past three years and am going on the fourth year like this. Just keep the truck brakes good on the truck and always leave space to stop. If it feels like your going to fast, you are. Take a spare tire and jack for sure and check your tire pressure ever time you pull over for any reason. I haul my boat with an 05 F250 with no need for airbags or helper springs. If the boat and trailer are built right your 3/4 ton truck would be fine. Good luck and happy hauling.
