Top 10 Toughest Tows In America
WV is pretty bad in some spots. Just last week I went out to the Hatfield Mccoy trails with a small trailer and a couple of atv's and we made one wrong turn and forget it my truck and trailer were off road more then on because the turns were so tight. Plus were up on mountains and there is a lot of wil dogs running around trying to get you. they don't help much when your trying to make sure you stay on the road and trying not to hit them.

Yall think the paved ones are bad come and spend a week in my life. I spend more time on the dirt than the pavement. Most of the time well over the 100,000lbs mark on grades that are upwards of 20% gets really exciting in the mud and snow.

This is looking out my back window
Long time back, went from Maryland to Kentucky over the mountains. I think,?, the highway was 60 or something like that. 2 lane, really twisty, many semis/doubles, UPS, on road. Slow, but one of the prettiest drives I have driven. Bad thing was driving a c.cab dually w/ 40' gooseneck. Busy watching the road so did not get to really enjoy the scenic views..
What road was that? My memory is like every thing else I have, short...
I remember goin up to Rocky Mountain national park one summer a few years back and for the life of me I can't remember the name of the pass we were on but between that and the mountain road going up to mesa verde park, those 2 put some hair on your peaches
US 2 western WA, couple tight corners but narrow 2 lane bridges, highway 20 NW washington switch backs up and switch bakes down, I-90 Vantage long step cross winds and frequlantly over 115.(been pushed over one lane with tires almost at full lock turning into wind) donners pass aint no joke,(esp construction Nevada side last time i went through) and outside pendleton OR,
Yeah, I70 west out of Denver. It just keeps going up, and up and...
It's not unusual to see passenger vehicles along the side of the road, radiators steaming, unable to make a climb. Don't venture into the Rockies with a load unless your rig is 100%.
There's dozens of similarly challenging climbs in CO alone. Never-ending slow, steep switchbacks in the secondary roads would be the counterpoint to the Interstates, equally difficult.
