towing a 30 ft 5th wheel to Balch park in Ca. Many switchbacks and a couple grades reach close to 30 percent. Auto trannie killer.

Hey R.Cassidy! Pleasure to meet you...currently i live in Utah but will be back in GJ in about a month ( with luck ) maybe we can get together and have coffee sometime. I use to pull a 6 horse trailer up over Monarch to Pueblo alot when i lived and worked in Gunnison. Seen some nasty wrecks on that stretch ecspecially right after the first snow of the year.

then again all you have to throw in are a couple morons and that turns any road into something dangerous and even deadly sometimes.

Wolf Creek Pass going east (coming down) sno sticks are 8 feet tall and sometimes you can't see them! I actually broke a sweat in February with the windows open.

Teton Pass on the Wyoming-Idaho border can be tricky with a trailer. They won't even let you tow over it in the winter, not even tow trucks can bring a car over, except the flatbed ones. The smell of burning brakes just stays there all summer from all the people who drive their big RVs over it and ride the brakes.

there is a road on I5 on the way up to oregon that is just insane up and down.on the way up I was driving our e350 van and we were towing a 24 ft travel trailer and i shut off o/d and was trying to get a good run at it , but a semi infront of me was crawling and there was a tundra next to me just hovering and i ended up crawling up the shoulder.p.s. 98 out that day.
