I'm not sure how i lost you but this is not correct.

I have a gooseneck ball already in the bed and I want to buy a 5er and use this ball to hook up and pull the camper.
Clear as mud? :pc:

In your last post you said you couldn't find anything in B&W to convert a 5th wheel to a gooseneck and that threw me. Because there are also options out there to do that and they are different. So I just wanted to make sure I understood which direction you were going. Give me a few minutes to go find a link and I will get back to you.

OK, let me preface this a little here. I am not reccomending the shop that I am linking to here, they were just the first place I found this item. I have nothing to do with or any knowledge of this shop, just using their link.

Now that, that is over. Check this out and see if it does what you are talking about. Keep in mind these things are spendy. But what you get is worth ever cent spent and if you decide you don't want it anymore you can list it for sale and it will be gone the next day for very little less than you spent on it new.

oh, i see now what your talking about. I don't have a turnove ball though so this wouldn't work for me i assume. I guess i may just have to get a 5er hitch installed...just didn't want to have two different hitches if i could make the one i already got work. Mainly what I wanted to avoid is the PITA of taking the 5er hitch out when i need to haul something and then put it back in when i want to go camping.
Funny thing is, i don't even own a gooseneck trailer, bought the truck with the ball already installed in the bed.
I was going to get me a goosneck stock trailer but haven't yet.

I don't know if this would work with another brand or not. As long as the Ball is the same size it should, that's all it uses. I just have never held a regular ball up next to a B&W to see if it is taller something.

If you want to do some compairative measurements between your ball and a B&W ball to see if the 5th wheel adaptor would work on a a non B&W hitch, just let me know and I'll go measure mine.

I have uses the B&W in 2 trucks and swear by it, and agree with Dennis that the 5er conversion to the trailer would be a last resort for me....I too have heard of neck and frame failures with that type of adapter.

B&W gets my vote Clay!
