Default what is the best kit level a 98 dodge

okay so my dad wants to run bigger tires like 35s maybe and i thought a leveling kit would be the best option untill i recently read a thread calling them death wobble starter kits. So now i'm wondering what is the right way to lift the front of the truck 2 inches.

The leveling kits do great. I have one on my 01. The 'death wobble starter kit' comes from the change in front end geometry. The leveling kit will not cause the death wobble per say, it will speed up the appearance of the DW if you have parts already wearing. I have 33/12.50/16 on my 01 and have no wobble at all. I am planning on redoing the front end to the 98-99 heavy duty front end soon though. But having good front end parts and a steering box brace will help prevent DW

The old addage "you get what you pay for" applies here. Look into Kore or Carli for quality leveling kits.

Carli is very expensive but very nice. I believe Kore makes a nice kit with new springs and shocks, my friend has one in his and he loves it.

400 Bucks sounds about right for the Kore kit. The Kore kit is nice too. I have always just done spacers though. Its really hard to get a 9000 Lb truck with a solid axle, and a diesel to ride good so why spend the extra money

I put the 2in spacers from Top Gun Customs on. They are solid steel and reuse the rubber boot on the top of the coil. Put new shocks and front sterring stabilizer on at the same time. Didnt change how it drove. I run 315's. You have seen the pics of the brown truck. Only other thing I have put on is that steering box brace.

Spacers are cheap and work fine. They will not break or sag either. It will ride like a dump truck tho

I didnt notice a difference in ride. If i wanted it to ride like a cadillac though, i would of bought a cadillac. And depending on the coil spacer they are good. There are some polyurethane ones and some others but steel wont wear out and fall apart.
