I'm new to the forum and I have a 92 w350. I'm wondering is is possible to lift this baby for somewhere near $1000 or is that a silly dream. what is all needed? do i need to mess with brake cables and such?

Depends on how high you are wanting to go. Couple inches and cables and lines should be fine. Anymore and you may need to relocate them.
