I just installed a pro comp 6inch stage 2 long arm lift kit on my 2007 2500 Mega cab. Im running 37/13.50/22 (toyo tires).

Long story short my tire rubs on the upper control arm. And i was thinking about putting a 1 inch wheel spacer or something? What do yall think about that and where can i get them and what do i need to buy? Or does it have to be an inch or less?

alot of people frown upon wheelspacers because they will cause premature wheel bearings failure. but for looks, a set of wheel spacers will make it look bigger

 

I think about 3/8" is the max you can go with a simple plate spacer - maybe a touch more depending on your wheel stud length and wheel thickness (lugnut thread engagement). Then you jump up to about 1-1/2" where the spacer bolts on, and has its own studs.

Keep in mind though, the further you space the wheel out, the larger the steering radius, i.e. more likely to hit the front and rear of the wheel opening when steering hard over.

call this number 512-564-1191 and talk to kevin he'll be able to help you out really experienced andgood prices as far as me im getting 1" wheel spacers for the 38-40s that im puttig on most people would agree but when you have to make a 6 point turn to get out of a parking-lot its a pain in the *** and wheel spacers definatley do help out

These are what you want. They are wheel adapters that have the same lug pattern as what they bolt to. Thicknesses 2'' and under usually require you to grind down the original lugs.
