Default Need Help With New Tires

Hey everyone need some advice and what you have ran and how it wore, road noise and all that. Currently running 325x60x18 Toyo Open Country ATs they were alright but looking for something with a more aggressive tread but will still wear well as most of my driving is on the highway. Dont tow a trailer that often and when i do its 4 wheelers, snowmobiles or a boat so i would say 8000 max. Right now looking at Trxus STS, Nitto Trail Grappler, Kumho Venture MT, Dick Cepek Fun Country II. I live in Alaska so it gets stupid cold were talkin minus 50 plus and i drive on snow and ice 6 months out of the year. Any help is appreciated and if I should be looking at tire that i didn't list shout it out. Thanks everyone!!!

I like my Toyo M/T's, but only have minimal miles on them so far... my 2 cents

I dont remember where I heard this but those Trxus tires wear out fast. Have you looked at the GY duratracs or Kelly TSRs. I have heard great things out of the duratracs and the TSRs are supposed to be about the same. I have had a set of the TSRs for a lil over a month and I love them but I havent had them in any snow or ice yet.

I'm on my 3rd set of Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors, and still love them. Quiet on the road, good all condition traction, and are wearing very well. If you looking for a little more aggressiveness, the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac will fit the bill. I haven't run them, but have a few buddys that do and they love them. A little louder than the silent armors, but more aggressive.

Don't know if they come in your size but the the Michelin A/T 2s are a nice looking tire and those I've talked to who have them say they are great.

We get the exact same silly cold you guys do in Alaska, and I've found the Michelin's are worth having just as winters. We've run BFG AT's year round when money gets tight before and it looks like this is one of those years. I haven't had any issues with the AT's either, they don't seem to harden up like a lot of other "All season" or "All terrain" do in the cold and there my recommendation.

I've taken into consideration websites like "tirerack.com" or similar sites for actual customer reviews, for myself... and obviously, this would be in ADDITION to D.B.'s members...
