Next week. I have a few other things I'm going to do at the same time and I'm waiting on the parts.

 

I have been running 315/75R16 load range D Hercules Terra Trac A/Ts for 20K miles now.

Treadwear is great, especially on a loaded/bombed diesel truck.

Traction is exceptional in all conditions... Very comparable to the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos I had for 45K miles, but with better treadwear... I have also had Revos on the wifes truck for about 50K miles...

Load handling is not an issue - Each tire is reated at 3195 pounds @ 50 PSI, OE tire size was 235/85R16 load range E, they were rated at 3042 @ 80 PSI. Before the Hercs I had Dueler A/T Revos in 285/75/16 load range D, they were rated at 3305 @ 65 PSI. Load range is NOT an the end-all to load handling, they are an indicator of how many plies a tire has... Different sizes will have different ratings.


I would not hesitate to buy them again. In fact, once the Revos on the wifes truck wear out, it will likely get hercs too...

 

I used to run Terra Track AT's on my old plow truck and still keep them on it since its my backup truck. the problem i always had was that i could never get more than about 3/4 of a year out of a set. I tried a set of Terra Tracks on my dodge when i first got it and had the same results...I went next to the tires i have now BFG AT TA KO's 315/75R16 and have gotten 3-1/2 years and 3 of the roughest snow seasons i have ever plowed out of them. if it wasnt my primary plow truck I could easily go this season also but i ordered new ones last night....better safe than stranded. i know alot of people dont like the bfg's but i have had a great experience with them.

 

The Bfg all terrain are among the best all around light truck and sub tire out there... in my opinion... the only problem is that bfg knows this and reflects their awesomeness in their price... I ran bfg at in the 33x10.5 flavor on my wheeler jeep for years and kept up with the big boys and their mud terrains, and wtill had friendly highway manners and awesome snow traction... damn i kinda miss my bfgs now...

 

Hmm, that is interesting... Makes me wonder what the difference in date stamp between yours and mine...

My tires with 20K on them easily have 2/3 tread left...

I know what you mean. They look so mean but they are dead quiet. Or at least mine are. How you like them so far
